Canandaigua Medical Massage

At this time New York State does not mandate health insurance coverage for massage therapy. Unfortunately this means that very few health insurance carriers currently offer any benefits for massage therapy.Canandaigua Medical Massage encourages everyone to contact both their health insurance providers and their state legislative representatives to let them know you would like to see therapeutic massage coverage as part of your insurance benefits.

 Preferred Care does offer coverage for massage therapy under some of its Trivantage policies. Other  health insurance carriers may reimburse their members for massage when receipts and documentation are submitted. Some carriers may offer special incentives and rebates that cover complimentary therapies such as massage. Health care coverage is changing rapidly so please check with your insurance provider for more information.

Coverage for holders of these policies are allowed twelve (12) massages per calender year with a 50% copay. Out of pocket cost, per massage, for the individual is $30.
