HOW MUCH CLOTHING MUST I REMOVE?
Client comfort is our top priority. Depending on the reasons for the massage and techniques to be utilized, clients will often need to be partially unclothed. All clients are draped with sheets and blankets during a session. As an area is to be massaged it is uncovered and is redraped upon completion of that area. Private areas remain covered at all times.
Most specific orthopedic treatments are administered with clients wearing light weight running shorts and sports bra, if applicable.Privacy draping is still utilized to provide added comfort. We also offer medical gowns for those who prefer them.

WILL MY MASSAGE TREATMENT BE PAINFUL?
Whether you experience pain during a massage depends on your physical condition, pain tolerance and the reasons for the massage. We strive to provide treatments that are relatively pain free, however, some deep tissue therapies cause pain as they defeat knotted muscles. If at any time the treatment you are receiving is causing you too much discomfort, ask the therapist to stop or ease off for a few minutes. Be open and let the therapist know how you are feeling and your treatment will be a lot more enjoyable and productive. It is important to remember that it is muscle tension and dysfunction that causes the pain. You should feel better at the end of each treatment and the treatments will become more comfortable as your dysfunctions improve. After a session, you may feel some mild discomfort or muscle soreness for a day or two, until your body readjusts and heals itself. Drinking plenty of water after a massage will help flush toxins from the muscles and reduce post-massage discomfort.
CAN I TALK DURING MY SESSION?
Some people prefer silence during a massage session especially during massage for relaxation purposes. Others prefer more social interaction with the therapist. The client determines the level of interaction which is comfortable to them. Feedback on the treatment is encouraged and always welcome. For many medical massage treatments feedback is the key to treatment success.
